Connected at First: Serving with Love at Jackson House

On May 11th, members of First Lutheran Church had the opportunity to serve at Jackson House, providing over 159 lunches to individuals and families who needed a little extra support and encouragement in their daily lives.
What started as a simple act of service quickly became a beautiful reminder of what it means to be the hands and feet of Jesus. From preparing and serving meals to sharing smiles and conversations, every moment reflected God’s love in action.
One unexpected highlight of the day was meeting a high-energy Scooby-Doo puppy who was just as excited about lunchtime as everyone else! Moments like these brought extra joy and laughter to an already meaningful day.
God blessed us with beautiful weather, willing hearts, and the opportunity to come together as a church family to care for our community. It was a blessing not only for those who received meals, but also for everyone who served.
Thank you to everyone who volunteered, donated, prayed, and supported this outreach effort. Your kindness and compassion continue to make a difference right here in Hot Springs.
