This morning, as I spent time in Portals of Prayer here at First Lutheran, Joseph’s story (Genesis 41:39–40) really settled in my heart. It reminded me that God doesn’t just allow seasons in our lives—He gives them purpose through our faith.
Joseph went from the pit to the palace… not because life was easy, but because he kept trusting God through it all. And that speaks to us today.
That’s what purposed faith looks like:
Trusting God even when it doesn’t make sense…
Holding on when you can’t see the outcome…
Believing He’s still working, even in the middle of it.
Genesis 50:20 (NIV) — “You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good…”
(God is not wasting what you’re going through—He’s working it for your good!!!!!)
Prayer:
Lord, help me trust You in every season. Even when I don’t understand it, remind me You’re still in control. Strengthen my faith today. Amen. LET’S GO #24
